dynamic-bern-american-pool-table
Dynamic Bern 8ft American Pool Table

The Owner's Insights on the Bern

The Bern is the odd one out in Dynamic's range, and it's odd in a good way. Where the Xray and Upcon go for a sleek, modern cabinet, the Bern is built around traditional American cabinetry — solid birchwood rails, an ornate leg profile and leather bucket pockets rather than the moulded plastic drop pockets you'll find on most tables at this price. There's even a pull-out storage drawer built into the side of the cabinet, which none of the other Dynamic models we stock have.

It's a genuine style choice rather than a budget one. The 3-piece slate bed, D.B.O. professional cushion rubber and cloth are the same calibre of components Dynamic uses across the range — you're paying for the traditional cabinetry and detailing, not a step down in how the table actually plays.

Why You'll Love the Bern

Genuine 3-piece natural slate bed – 20mm thick, built for a consistent, accurate playing surface.

Leather drop pockets – a proper traditional finishing touch most tables at this price don't offer.

Solid birchwood rails with inlaid sighting spots – genuine timber, not a laminate finish.

Built-in pull-out storage drawer – keeps cues, balls and accessories tidy at the table.

Free UK mainland delivery and professional installation – your table arrives fitted, levelled and ready to play.

Why You Should Consider a Dynamic Pool Table

Dynamic Billard has been manufacturing pool and billiard tables in Germany since the early 1990s, building everything from entry-level free-play tables through to the tournament-grade models used in competitive play across Europe. The Bern draws on that same manufacturing standard but wraps it in a more traditional, ornate cabinet – a deliberate design choice for anyone who wants a pool table that looks like a genuine piece of furniture rather than a games-room fixture.

Mahogany,Black or Dark Oak: Choosing Your Bern Finish

The Bern is built around traditional cabinetry, and the finish you choose changes the whole character of the table. This listing is for the mahogany cabinet, which pairs a rich reddish-brown tone with the table's leather pockets and birchwood rails for a genuinely classic look. Dynamic also builds the Bern in a dark oak finish, if a lighter wood tone suits your room better.

Either way, the storage drawer and leather pockets are standard across both finishes, so the choice really comes down to which wood tone fits your games room. The Bern is currently offered as an 8ft table, so it suits a similar footprint to most American pool tables in this size class.

Every Bern comes with your choice of standard club cloth colour - green, grey, royal blue, electric blue or burgundy, or you can upgrade to tournament-grade Simonis cloth at checkout.
