It's a physically bigger multiplayer setup with four control positions and a 27-inch screen, so it feels much more like the centre of the room when a group is playing.

I'd put this in a games room where you regularly have friends or family over, particularly if competitive multiplayer games are what normally get everyone involved.

I also like that you can choose a dedicated setup rather than automatically filling it with thousands of games. For someone who specifically wants NBA Jam, that keeps the controls and experience focused. Alternatively, the multi-game systems give you much more variety.

One honest note. If you mainly play alone or you're working with limited space, I'd choose a smaller cabinet instead.

Why You'll Love The Grand 27 Arcade Machine - NBA Jam Theme

Four people can actually play together: Instead of one or two people playing while everyone else waits, the Grand gives four players their own control positions.

You can keep the experience dedicated to NBA Jam: Select the Dedicated system and the machine runs the game on the artwork, with the buttons and joysticks matching the original game.

Or turn it into a much broader arcade machine: DX Saga provides 9,800 games, while Alpha Max expands into later generations and Gun Max adds recoil light-gun gaming.

The controls can match how seriously you want to play: Standard controls give the familiar arcade setup, illuminated controls add visual impact, and Sanwa controls offer a more responsive competition-style feel.

Choose your game system

Pick your system with the options on this page.
