Product Description

The Owner's Insights on the WIK Kick Shot

The WIK Kick Shot is a proper commercial air hockey table, not a scaled-down version built for a living room corner. The bed is perforated stainless steel, and underneath it sits a genuinely strong 260W air pump. That matters more than it sounds: a weak blower lets the puck drag and die halfway across the table, and you notice it within the first rally.

I'd put this table in your games room as happily as I'd put it in a pub or a clubhouse. It's built for the kind of use where someone's playing it every night, not once a month, and the stainless steel bed and polycarbonate centre screen are there so your table stays fast instead of scuffing up after a season of enthusiastic play.

If you just want the odd game with the kids on a Sunday afternoon, the 6ft version gives you the same build quality without asking for half the room. If you're setting one up somewhere it needs to earn its keep, a pub, a club, a function room, the 8ft with the coin mechanism fitted is the one to look at.

Why You'll Love the WIK Kick Shot

  • Commercial-grade stainless steel playing surface – the perforated bed keeps the puck gliding fast and true, and it won't scuff or fade the way a painted surface does under heavy use.
  • 260W air pump – a proper strong blower rather than a token fan, so the puck stays lifted even when the table's getting played hard.
  • Digital score display – tracks points, credits and game time automatically, so nobody's arguing over the score after your third rematch.
  • Choice of coin mechanism or freeplay – fit the electronic coin validator for pay-to-play use, or leave your table in freeplay for a home games room.
  • LED lighting and built-in sound – lit playing field and legs plus a stereo sound system give it real arcade presence, not just a plain box on legs.
  • 12-month commercial warranty, 24 months for home use – longer domestic cover than most tables built to this commercial standard.

Why You Should Consider a WIK Air Hockey Table

WIK tables come off the same commercial games manufacturing line used to supply arcades, pubs and family entertainment centres, not a budget import built to last one season. That's why the Kick Shot carries a genuine 12-month commercial warranty (24 months for home use) and a proper 260W air system, built for tables that get played on every day, not just at Christmas.

Choosing Between the 6ft and 8ft WIK Kick Shot for Your Room

The 6ft table (199 x 107cm, 165kg) is the one we'd point most families towards. It plays properly fast without needing a dedicated games room, and it's a manageable size for a spare room or garage conversion. The 8ft table (238 x 128cm, 220kg) is closer to what you'd find in a commercial venue: more room either side of the puck, and the extra length gives faster players more to work with. Whichever size you choose, leave a little clear space at each end so players can move freely without clipping the table on a big swing.

Both sizes of the Kick Shot come the same way from WIK: stainless steel bed, digital scoring, LED lighting, and the choice of a fitted coin mechanism or straight freeplay, so what's shown here covers the real options for your table rather than a cut-down version. If you want to talk through coin programming, contactless payment, or installation into a specific space, get in touch and we'll talk it through properly.

Room Size Requirements

These figures are the table's own footprint as supplied. Unlike a pool table, air hockey doesn't need cue-swing clearance, but you'll still want enough space at each end for two players to stand and move comfortably.

Table size Table footprint Recommended clear space
6ft 199 x 107cm Allow extra room at each end for players to stand and reach for the puck
8ft 238 x 128cm Allow extra room at each end for players to stand and reach for the puck

FAQ

Should I choose the 6ft or 8ft Kick Shot?

For most homes, the 6ft (199 x 107cm, 165kg) is the easier fit. It's still built to the same commercial standard, just sized for a spare room or garage rather than a dedicated venue. The 8ft (238 x 128cm, 220kg) gives faster players more room to work with and is closer to the size you'd expect to find in a pub or club. Both sizes share the same stainless steel bed, 260W air pump, digital scoring and lighting, so you're not losing any features by going smaller.

Is the Kick Shot better suited to a pub or venue, or a home games room?

It's built to work in both. The stainless steel bed, 260W air pump and coin-ready electronics are commercial-grade, so it holds up to nightly use in a pub, club or function room. The same build quality carries over to a home setup, and running it in freeplay without a coin mechanism turns it into a straightforward home games room table. The warranty reflects this too: 12 months for commercial use, 24 months for home use.

Does it come with a coin mechanism, or can I run it as freeplay?

Both options are available. The Kick Shot can be fitted with an electronic coin validator (a COMESTERO RM5) for pay-to-play use, or supplied in freeplay with no mechanism fitted, which suits a home games room. If you're not sure which is right for where the table's going, contact us and we'll help you decide.

What's included when the table arrives?

Every Kick Shot comes with 4 mallets and 6 pucks as standard, so you've got spares if one goes missing. If the table's fitted and programmed with a coin mechanism, 100 tokens are included too.

What should I know about delivery and getting the table into place?

This is a genuinely heavy table: 165kg for the 6ft and 220kg for the 8ft. The manufacturer recommends four people to move it safely, so it isn't a two-person job. It's worth checking doorways, stairs and the final position before it arrives so there's a clear run to where it's going. If you'd like to talk through access to your space before ordering, contact us and we'll help you plan it.

What power supply does the Kick Shot need?

A standard UK 230V/50Hz socket is all it needs. Power draw is modest at around 82W when it's idling in demo mode, rising to up to 260W once it's being played, so there's no need for anything beyond a normal wall socket.
