Everything in this collection is a skill-and-prize machine, but they play differently.
Claw cranes are the classic grabber: steer the claw with a joystick, drop it and try to lift a prize into the chute. That covers the Toy Star Mini, Toy Star Small, Fun Claw, Candy House, Good Show, Pink Love, the four-player Toy Star Mini 4 Player and Trend Star, and the three-claw Tri-Grab.
Prize games use a different challenge. The Super Clip, Treasure Box and Space Drop use clip mechanisms, and the Pink Date asks players to cut the string holding the prize. They give a line-up of claw machines some variety.
Check three things: the doorways on the way in, the ceiling height and the floor. Eight of these machines are 79cm wide or more, and the Tri-Grab is 115cm wide, 229cm tall and around 330kg, so it needs a solid floor and plenty of headroom.
If space is tight, the Toy Star Mini is only 30cm wide and 47cm deep, with a narrow prize area that suits small plush toys. The Toy Star Small and Fun Claw are around 60cm wide. Some machines arrive in a smaller packed size, which is listed on the product page where WIK publishes it. If anything is close, send us your measurements before you order.
Most operators want control over how often a machine pays out, so they can balance prize cost against takings. On these machines, that control is set in different ways:
For the other machines, ask us which settings are available before you order.
Because these machines give out prizes, how they're set up matters. The Gambling Commission's guidance on prize machines (last updated 31 October 2024) explains that a prize machine can count as a gaming machine if chance plays an appreciable part in the result, and that payout settings (which it calls compensation) can affect that. It says it's more likely to question machines offering prizes above £50, the limit set by the industry trade body, and that a machine where the advertised prizes can't all be won may be treated as a fraud.
Speak to your local licensing authority before you install a prize machine, and keep your prizes and settings within the guidance.
You can, but these are commercial machines built for daily public play, with commercial prices to match. If you want a claw machine for a child's bedroom or a party, a toy claw machine will cost a fraction of these and may suit you better. If you do want a full-size machine at home, the Toy Star Mini is the easiest to fit in.
Line the claw up from the front, then check it from the side before you drop it, and go for prizes sitting loose near the top rather than packed in tightly. Beyond that, the operator sets how strong the claw is and how often it pays out, which is how a venue balances prize costs. That's different from a machine that can't be won: the Gambling Commission's guidance says a machine where the advertised prizes can't all be won may be treated as a fraud.
Yes, the Toy Star Mini 4 Player and the Trend Star 4 Player.
The product pages list coin selectors or coin acceptors, and the Pink Love and Space Drop also take banknotes. If you need a card reader, ask us before you order.
Delivery terms are shown on each product page. WIK doesn't publish warranty or power details for every machine yet, so where a product page says TBC, ask us and we'll confirm before you order.
