A folding poker table costs about £40 to £300 in the UK. A fixed, full-size table usually costs £1,000 to £2,300, and handmade hardwood tables start around £7,995. Prices below are from UK listings and product pages checked on 18 October 2026.
That's the short answer. If it's all you needed, you can stop here. If you're weighing a £140 folding table against a £10,000 one, the rest of this guide shows what the gap buys.
How much does a poker table cost?
It depends on the build, and the gap between the cheapest and dearest is huge. Among 17 folding tables in a UK shopping snapshot, prices run from £41.50 to £299, with a median of £142.95. If you only need something for occasional games, that is your range.
Fixed tables with a solid frame sit much higher. In the same snapshot, five of nine fixed tables cost between £1,029.99 and £2,299.
The top end is another market. Three designer tables in that snapshot cost £16,260, £18,595 and £37,875.

How much is a poker table by type?
Type sets your starting point. These are the ranges you will see on 18 October 2026.
| Type | Typical UK price |
|---|---|
| Folding table with cup holders | £41.50 to £299 (17 listings) |
| Fixed table, factory-made | £399 to £2,299 (7 of 9 fixed listings) |
| Bespoke UK-built table | £1,200 to £1,600+ (one maker's quoted range) |
| Handmade hardwood table, 8 to 10 seats | £7,995 to £10,495 |
| Italian designer table | £11,999 and up |
Trade listings often show prices without VAT. One UK trade site lists 8ft by 4ft tables at £1,096.70 to £2,697.20 plus VAT. At the 20% rate, that is about £1,316 to £3,237.
Why are poker tables so expensive?
Mostly because the good ones are made by hand, one at a time. The Luxury Oval Poker Table is built to order in about 8 weeks, with a solid hardwood racetrack and two pedestals.
Then there's the choice of finish. You specify the wood, cloth colour, armrest and metal trim, and you approve a drawing before anything is built.
Size matters too. A 96 by 48 inch oval seats ten, and you receive it packed in a crate and delivered by freight.
Designer tables add materials and labour on top. The Vismara Asso is lacquered wood on a leather-wrapped cone, with 26 lacquer colours and 36 leathers to choose from.
A £150 folding table has none of that. It is factory-made, in fixed sizes and finishes.

What else adds to the cost of a poker table?
Chairs are the big one. A custom handmade leather poker chair is £2,255 each, so a set of ten costs £22,550.
The tables also list optional black or brown PU leather poker chairs. The product pages don't give that price, so ask before you budget your total.
A dining top turns your poker table into a dining table. The pages say to ask for a price, so it isn't in the figures above.
VAT matters when you compare sellers. Most goods and services are charged at the standard rate of 20%, so a price shown without VAT will be a fifth higher at the till.
Space is the last cost. A 96 by 48 inch table is about 244cm by 122cm, and your players need room behind their chairs to sit back. Mark the footprint on your floor before you commit.
When is a cheaper poker table the better buy?
Most of the time, if you host a few games a year. A folding table at £100 to £300 does the job, and you can store it away.
A fixed table at £1,000 to £2,300 makes sense for regular nights. It stays up, so you don't pack it away after every game.
The handmade tables here only make sense if the table is a permanent fixture. They start at £7,995, while one UK maker quotes bespoke builds at £1,200 to £1,600+. If you want a plain home table, that is the better value.
Made-to-order has a catch too. The 61in and 96in tables take about 8 weeks to build, plus delivery. The Asso can't be returned once production starts.
Where can you buy a poker table?
From a specialist maker or an online retailer. The UK listings checked for this guide are mostly online shops that deliver, so a shop near you is less likely than a website that ships.
For a handmade table, you order from the maker, who builds it to order. For a folding table, general retailers list them from about £40.
The pages checked for this guide mention no showroom for Premium Pool Tables, so ask before you travel. You can send Rossa your room size and budget on WhatsApp or email.
Where can you buy a poker table top?
A table top, or topper, sits over a table you already own. One UK maker lists premium toppers from £400, and folding tables from £600 or more.
That is dearer than a basic folding table. A topper costs less than a fixed table, but you still need a base to put it on.
