Choose Standard instead and there's no mechanism at all, just straight freeplay for a home or private games room that doesn't need to charge on the door.

Physically, the two play identically. Same 19mm precision-ground slate bed, same chrome-plated die-cast corners with recessed pocket liners, so the cue runs through cleanly right into the pocket instead of catching on proud metalwork. I've fitted this table in working men's clubs and in spare rooms turned games rooms, and it holds up the same in both.

If you're kitting out a bar or club for real footfall, Electronic earns the table's keep back. If it's just you, your family and mates round, Standard is the one.
