Product Description
The Rasson Apollo II: The Tournament English Pool Table You Can Own
The Rasson Apollo II is the official table of Ultimate Pool, the professional English pool tour shown on TNT Sports. It's widely regarded as the finest English pool table available today, and this free play version brings that exact tournament standard into your home or club.
It combines features normally found on high-end American competition tables, such as a precision-ground slate, bolted cushions and steel slate supports, with the 7ft English format that UK players know and love.

Why You'll Love the Rasson Apollo II
- The pros' table: the same table used at every Ultimate Pool event.
- Precision-ground slate: 19mm slate ground to within 0.1mm for a truly flat, true roll.
- Cushions bolted through the slate: consistent, lively rebounds shot after shot.
- Lower 36mm cushion height: makes it easier to strike the cue ball cleanly.
- Solid wood cabinet: stronger and longer-lasting than the MDF used on many English tables.
- Quiet ball return: a foam-lined return box and a cue ball separator that sends the white back to the baulk end.
The Owner's Insights on the Rasson Apollo II
If you watch Ultimate Pool on TV, this is the exact table you see the pros playing on. What stands out to me is how much more consistent it plays than a typical English pub table: the bolted cushions give a clean, predictable rebound, and the precision-ground slate means the ball rolls true from end to end. The countersunk pocket liners and sleek black cabinet look smart in a modern games room too.
I'll be honest: it's a serious player's table. At 225kg it needs a solid floor, and if you just want a casual family table, a less expensive English table may suit you perfectly well.
What Makes the Apollo Different From a Pub Pool Table?
Most English pub tables use MDF cabinets and cushions glued to wooden rails. The Apollo uses a solid wood cabinet, a one-piece cushion rail bonded to the wood, cushions bolted right through the slate and steel slate supports. Together they give a far more consistent, competition-standard game.
How Much Room Do You Need for a 7ft Pool Table?
With full-length 57-inch cues, a 7ft English table like the Apollo needs a clear space of roughly 5 x 4.1m. With shorter 48-inch cues, around 4.6 x 3.7m is enough for comfortable play.
