Every table here is built for American pool, with 57mm (2¼in) balls and wider pockets than an English table. There are 47 to choose from, by Dynamic, SAM, Buffalo, Rasson, Heemskerk, Cornilleau, Predator and WIK, priced from £2,329 to £12,600.
Most are 7ft, 8ft or 9ft, and almost all have a slate bed. Check the room-size guide below the products before you choose. Use the filters to narrow by size, price and brand, or go back to all Pool Tables.

American tables are built for a different game. They use larger balls, wider pockets and bigger tables, so the two aren't interchangeable.
| American pool table | English pool table | |
|---|---|---|
| Balls | 57mm (2¼in) spots and stripes | 2in reds and yellows |
| Pockets | Wider | Tighter |
| Usual sizes | 7ft, 8ft and 9ft | 6ft and 7ft |
| 7ft playing area | Mostly 198 × 99cm to 200 × 100cm | About 183 × 91cm to 186 × 94cm |
For a fuller explanation, read English vs American Pool Tables: What's the Difference.
American tables are named by their approximate length. On the tables we sell, the playing areas are:
The cabinet adds to that. A 9ft SAM Regenta, for example, measures 280 × 153cm outside.
You need room to cue from every side, so the room size depends on the length of your cues. These are the room sizes given on our SAM, Buffalo, Dynamic and Rasson product pages:
| Table | 48in cue | 52in cue | 57in cue |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7ft | 14'10″ × 11'7″ | 15'6″ × 12'3″ | 16'4″ × 13'1″ |
| 8ft | 15'8″ × 12'0″ | 16'4″ × 12'8″ | 17'2″ × 13'6″ |
| 9ft | 16'8″ × 12'6″ | 17'4″ × 13'2″ | 18'2″ × 14'0″ |
Measure from the nearest obstacle, such as a radiator or sofa, not just wall to wall. A shorter cue for the odd shot near a wall is fine, but if you'd need short cues all round, a smaller table will play better.
If you're between two sizes, send us your room measurements and we'll check the fit before you order.

| Table | Sizes | Slate | Weight | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Dynamic Triumph | 7ft, 8ft | 20mm, three-piece | 243kg (7ft) | £3,240 |
| Heemskerk Baltimore | 7ft, 8ft | Three-piece | 390kg / 420kg | £3,429 |
| Rasson Pierce | 8ft | 20mm, three-piece | 337kg | £4,995 |
| Dynamic IV | 8ft, 9ft | 30mm, three-piece | 400kg / 480kg | £5,400 |
| SAM Royal Class | 7ft to 9ft | One-piece | 275kg (7ft) to 350kg (9ft) | £5,999 |
| Predator Apex Pro | 9ft | 25mm, three-piece | 550kg | £8,800 |
| SAM Regenta | 9ft | 25mm, three-piece | 720kg | £12,600 |
42 of the 47 tables here have a slate bed, from 18mm to 30mm thick where the thickness is stated. The exceptions are the Heemskerk Solid Feet, which has an MDF bed; the Dynamic Diner, which has a composite board; and the outdoor Cornilleau Hyphen, Classic and Origin, which have weatherproof board or HPL composite surfaces.
Slate comes in one piece or three. A one-piece bed, as on the SAM Royal Class and Magno, has no joins. A three-piece bed, as on the Buffalo, Rasson and most Dynamic tables, comes in smaller sections, which can make it easier to get through a narrow hallway or doorway. Either way, check the route into the room before ordering: the 9ft tables in the comparison above weigh from 350kg to 720kg.
Delivery is included on most tables to mainland England and Wales, and installation is included on most American and premium slate-bed tables. Deliveries involving stairs carry an extra charge. Each product page shows exactly what's included, and the full terms are in our Delivery & Installation policy.
Our slate-bed American tables start at £2,395 for the Buffalo Eliminator II. The Heemskerk Solid Feet, with an MDF bed, is £2,329, and the 9ft SAM Regenta is £12,600.
The playing area is 224 × 112cm. Outside, the cabinet is usually around 252–254 × 140–142cm, for example on the Buffalo Eliminator II and SAM Royal Class.
Not properly. English balls are smaller than American ones, and the wider American pockets and larger table change the game, so buy the table for the game you'll play most.
