Waterproof air hockey tables: what are they made of?

An indoor air hockey table won't cope with rain. These tables use two different builds:

• Polycarbonate playfield and frame: the Magic Outdoor, Arctic, Storm, Skate, Big Wave and Air Vibes. The perforated polycarbonate bed keeps the puck floating even when it's been rained on, and LED lighting in the playfield makes the table stand out after dark.
• Waterproof plywood and stainless steel: the Shark and Wizard, with a stainless steel playing surface and top rails on powder-coated metal legs.

6ft or 8ft outdoor air hockey table?

An 8ft table (238 × 128cm) gives the longer, faster rallies people expect in a pub garden or holiday park. A 6ft table fits a tighter terrace. Allow clear space at both ends for a full mallet swing and along both sides for players to move. For an 8ft table, a space of about 3.5 × 2.0m is a sensible guide.

• 8ft only: Storm, Skate, Big Wave and Air Vibes (about 200–220kg).
• 6ft or 8ft: Arctic, Shark and Wizard. Ask us for the size you want.
• Smaller and lower: the Magic Outdoor (163 × 107cm, 151kg), which WIK rates from age 3 for family venues.

Coin-operated outdoor air hockey tables for venues

Most of these tables can earn their keep. The Arctic, Storm and Air Vibes come with an electronic coin acceptor fitted. The Storm can be switched to free play, and the Arctic and Air Vibes can add a ticket dispenser, note acceptor or card reader. Delivery is included on most tables to mainland England and Wales. Deliveries involving stairs carry an extra charge. These tables weigh up to 220kg, so check the route to where the table will sit. Outdoor air hockey table FAQs

Can an outdoor air hockey table stay outside all year?

WIK says the Arctic, Air Vibes, Magic Outdoor and Storm can stay outside all year. Waterproof still isn't maintenance-free: a breathable cover over the blower and coin unit through the worst of winter is sensible, and no electrical table should sit in standing water or deep snow.

Can an outdoor air hockey table be used indoors?

Do you sell a cheaper outdoor air hockey table for the garden?
