Let The Experts Help You Find Your Perfect Alien Pinball Machine Ellen Ripley Edition

The Ellen Ripley Edition is a tribute to the hero of the films. She appears in the game in several modes, and the machine gets its own Loader Battle backglass, new artwork inside and outside the cabinet, and a sculpted, hand-painted frame around the mini screen.

You can play it as Alien or switch to Aliens mode, so the one machine gives you two quite different experiences. It's a widebody cabinet, which means it's wider than a standard pinball machine, so measure your doorways and the space where it will stand before ordering.

• Ellen Ripley Edition extras: Ripley game modes, a Loader Battle backglass, new cabinet artwork and a sculpted, hand-painted frame for the mini screen.

The Owner's Insights On The Alien Pinball Machine Ellen Ripley Edition

For me, the Xenomorph is the reason people remember this machine. When it swallows the ball, everyone in the room reacts, and it never really gets old. Add the eggs as pop bumpers and the Facehuggers jumping on the slingshots, and the whole playfield feels like it's out to get you.

I also like that you get two films in one. Alien is the tense hunt through the Nostromo, Aliens is the all-out fight in the Queen's lair, so it doesn't get stale.

I'd put this in a games room where you've got space for a wider cabinet and friends who love the films. Four flippers and lots of shots across the playfield make it a game you keep coming back to as you get better.

One honest note. The playfield is deliberately dark to match the films, so most owners play with the room lights on. It can also feel tough for complete beginners at first.

What Customers Have Said About The Alien Pinball Machine Ellen Ripley Edition

• The sound: Players rate the sound package among the very best in pinball.
• The Xenomorph: The ball-eating Xenomorph is described as one of the best toys in the business.
• Two films in one: Players love being able to choose between Alien and Aliens modes.
• Value: Several owners say it gives more for the money than many bigger-brand machines.
• Worth knowing: The dark playfield can make the ball harder to track with the lights off, and newer players can find it punishing at first.

Why You'll Love The Alien Pinball Machine Ellen Ripley Edition

• It feels like the films: Hunt the Xenomorph, destroy the eggs before the Facehuggers hatch, and rescue Jonesy the cat along the way.
• Multiball in hypersleep: Master the hypersleep shot to wake your crew and start multiball.
• A proper finale: Activate self-destruct and eject the Xenomorph from the escape craft to become the last survivor of the Nostromo.
• Ripley is in it: The Ellen Ripley Edition brings her into several game modes, with artwork to match.

Your Life With The Alien Pinball Machine Ellen Ripley Edition

The lights go down, someone hits start, and the Nostromo comes to life on the screen. A few shots later the Xenomorph swallows the ball and the whole room jumps.

Friends take turns trying to wake the crew from hypersleep, argue over who let the Facehuggers hatch, and beg for one more go at becoming the last survivor.

On quieter evenings, it's a game you can keep learning on your own, switching between Alien and Aliens and chasing the Queen in her lair.
