Let the experts help you find your perfect Heemskerk Air Hockey Table

Choosing an air hockey table isn't just about finding the biggest one you can fit through the door. You need enough room around it to play comfortably, and the right table depends on who will use it and how regularly they'll play.

If you're weighing up different air hockey table sizes, speak to us before ordering. We'll help you work out whether the 6.5ft Masterplay gives you the right balance between playing area and room footprint.

Your table also comes with a free air hockey accessory pack, with the option to upgrade if you want a more substantial set of playing accessories.

The Heemskerk Masterplay Air Hockey Table in a nutshell

Powerful air motor: One large motor creates the airflow that allows the puck to glide smoothly across the playing field, keeping rallies moving rather than constantly stopping to retrieve a stalled puck.

Room for 2-4 players: Play head-to-head or get more people involved. The Masterplay is designed for two to four players, making it a social addition to a games room.

Two built-in score counters: No arguments about whether it's 6-5 or 5-5. Each end has its own score counter so you can keep track as the game gets competitive.

Built-in accessory storage: Storage areas in the corners give your pucks and pushers somewhere to live between games, rather than slowly disappearing into drawers around the house.

The Owner's Insights on the Heemskerk Masterplay Table

I think the Masterplay makes the most sense when you want a substantial air hockey table but don't necessarily have the room for one of the larger 7ft models. At 199cm long and 64kg, it feels like a permanent games-room table rather than something you'll fold away after Sunday afternoon.

The 194 x 102cm playing field gives two players plenty of room to get a fast rally going, while the corner storage is a small practical detail I really like: pucks and pushers actually have somewhere to go afterwards.

I'd look at this for a home games room, family space or somewhere younger players will use it recreationally.

For heavy, all-day use by older teenagers or adults, I'd step up to one of Heemskerk's metal-playing-surface models instead.

Why you'll love the Heemskerk Masterplay 6.5ft Air Hockey Table

It gets people off the sofa and into a game. Air hockey needs virtually no introduction. Pick up a pusher, put the puck down and within seconds you've got a competitive game going with friends or family.

A big playing area without stepping up to a 7ft table. At 6.5ft with a 194 x 102cm playing field, the Masterplay gives you a substantial playing surface while occupying less overall length than Heemskerk's larger 7ft models.

The motor keeps the action moving. A large air motor creates the cushion of air underneath the puck, helping it move smoothly across the MDF playing surface and creating the quick rallies that make air hockey fun.

Useful storage where you actually need it. The corner compartments give the pushers and pucks a proper home when nobody is playing, which is particularly useful in family games rooms, schools and other shared spaces.

Your life with the Heemskerk Masterplay Air Hockey Table

You know what happens.

Someone wins the first game. The loser immediately wants a rematch.

Then somebody else decides they can beat the winner.

That's the appeal of having something like the Heemskerk Masterplay 6.5ft Air Hockey Table in your games room. It gives people something to actually do together rather than sitting in the same room looking at different screens.

There's very little barrier to getting started, either. You don't need to already be good at air hockey and you don't need to explain twenty different rules before somebody can play.

It can be a quick game while you're waiting for everyone else to arrive, or turn into an evening of increasingly competitive rematches.

And that's ultimately what you want from a games room: a space people actually want to use.
