The Eliminator III is the Buffalo I'd point most families towards when they want a proper slate pool table without paying Pro-series money. It's the latest version of one of Buffalo's most popular home tables, and the redesign has made it look far sleeker: the four heavy-duty levelling feet are now sunk into the base, so you get clean, solid pedestals instead of chunky feet.

Underneath, it has what matters for play: a 25mm three-piece slate, K66 rubber cushions and an integrated ball collection box. The pockets are now rubber, which makes them tougher and noticeably quieter when a ball drops, a small change you'll appreciate every game.

Honest note: the cloth comes in a fixed colour for each finish (grey on the black table, green on the dark walnut). If you want a different colour, ask us about a cloth upgrade before you order.

Black or Dark Walnut: Choosing Your Eliminator III

Matte Black comes with a slate grey cloth. It's the modern, understated choice and looks sharp in a contemporary games room, garage conversion or home bar.

Dark Walnut comes with a classic green cloth. The warm wood-effect finish sits naturally alongside wooden furniture and gives a more traditional pool hall feel.

Both finishes share exactly the same slate, cushions and frame, so the only difference is the look.

7ft or 8ft: Which Size Pool Table Do You Need?

The 7ft has a 198 × 99cm playing area and fits comfortably in a room of around 15 × 12ft, so it's a great choice for most UK homes and for younger players. The 8ft gives you a 224 × 112cm playing area for a bigger, more serious game and needs a room of around 16 × 13ft. If you have the space and mainly adults will play, go 8ft. If space is tight, the 7ft still gives you a full slate-bed American game.

Can You Play Table Tennis on a Pool Table?

With the Eliminator III, yes. A table tennis conversion top is available for both sizes. It sits on top of the pool table and protects the cloth, so you get two games in the space of one. It's a popular choice for family games rooms where not everyone plays pool.
